JPG is a file format supported by Convertr for online file conversion workflows.
CR2 is the image source or target format for this conversion path.
JPG uses lossy compression and does not support transparency.
The CR2 pixels are decoded and written using JPG compression and color capabilities.
Pixel dimensions and visible composition are preserved unless resize or crop settings are selected.
Layers, editable vectors, camera-raw controls, animation, high bit depth, and metadata are preserved only when JPG supports them.
JPG uses lossy compression. A higher quality or bitrate can reduce new artifacts, but it cannot restore detail already missing from the CR2 source.
Multi-page, layered, animated, camera-raw, or very large images may be flattened, reduced to one frame, or rejected if the decoder cannot safely read them.
Uploads and converted files are processed automatically and irreversibly deleted within 24 hours. You can delete them sooner with the delete control. Convertr does not read, mine, sell, or manually review file contents.
