Local processing
The selected file is read with your browser File API and minified on this page. Source HTML, output HTML, file names, URLs, and embedded text are not sent to Convertr servers or logged.
Conservative defaults
The default preset removes ordinary comments and collapses inter-tag whitespace but keeps inline JavaScript, CSS, quotes, and whitespace-sensitive elements intact.
Size comparison
Compare original and minified byte counts before deciding whether the compressed HTML is useful in your workflow.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my HTML uploaded to Convertr?
No. The HTML minifier runs locally in your browser. Pasted snippets and selected files are not sent to Convertr servers.
Does this minify JavaScript or CSS inside HTML?
No by default. Inline script and style content is preserved so the HTML compressor does not rewrite embedded code unexpectedly.
Can minifying HTML change page behavior?
It can when markup depends on comments, optional tags, or exact whitespace. The default options are conservative, and destructive options are left explicit.
